OPP film and BOPP film, What is the difference?

OPP packing tape is commonly used for sealing boxes and other daily purposes. This kind of tape is mainly made of OPP film or BOPP film, but are they different?

The answer is yes. OPP film is a type of polypropylene material that is oriented polypropylene (film), also known as stretchable polypropylene. The full English name is Oriented Polypropylene, which is a transparent packing tape based on polypropylene film. It has the advantages of high tensile strength, light weight, non-toxic, odorless, environmentally friendly, and wide range of applications. The most common usage adhesive tape for package sealing in express delivery.

BOPP film is a type of polypropylene that is biaxially stretched (thin film). The full English name is Bi axial oriented polypropylene, which greatly improves its performance through longitudinal and transverse double ways stretching.

BOPP tape has the advantages of high tensile strength, light weight, low cost, non-toxic and odorless. As a packaging material, it is widely used for sealing packaging of cardboard boxes, fixing, bundling, and sealing of objects.

BOPP tape is an upgraded version of OPP tape, which has greatly improved its applicability and performance. BOPP film can be applied to adhesive tapes, transparent bags, heat sealing films, pearlescent films, metallized films, food packaging bags, etc.
